Teachings of Homo sapiens spiritus
Everything constantly changes. The changes in our lives affect us physically, mentally and spiritually. This doesn't have to be the case. Thus, cultured people practice meditation.
What is Meditation? Lu Yan said "Meditation is the act of quiting the heart by quieting the breath". For Pure Land Buddhists it is being mindful of Amitabha Buddha. Practice meditation every day, even if its for 5 minutes. Sit quietly, when you won't be disturbed. Relax, be mindful of your breathing and smile with your heart and brain at the same time. Send that wonderful feeling of joy to the universe, contemplate the thoughts that come to mind. When you have a good thought say Amitabha, when you have a bad thought say Amitabha.
The Source of All Good is keeping God in our Hearts. The source of all evil is forgetting that. The heart has two spiritual functions 1. purification 2. destruction. God is the Circle whose center is everywhere and circumference nowhere. The Gnostics called this the Plenorum, the Christians call it the Paraclette, the Holy Spirit. The Chinese call it the Tao, the Way - The Way Things are, the Way we roam, The Way the electrons travel around the nucleus of the atom. By being mindful about the way things are we are empowered in the most magical way possible

Carl Jung
Dr. Carl G. Jung proposed the theory of a collective unconscious, after he observed that in neurotic patients different personalities would emerge.
Unlike the atheist Siegmund Freud, Jung was a strong believer in the spiritual side of life. As a young child he had a mystical experience, which was marked by dejavuus and coincidences culminating in a vase shettering without being broken by any external forces. Later, his studies of Taoism and Buddhism opened his perception and he perfected his theory of archetypes. Archetypes are psychic inprints and are contained in the collective unconscious.
In the New Age Movement, the Collective Unconscious is known as the Akashic Records, a collection of everything that has been, is, will be and might have been.
The Process of Individuation, or becoming aware of the Totality of the Self, is an endevour that is vital to our wellbeing. Our ego has established barriers to shield us from what's beyond. This other side emerges in dreams. One aspect of the self is the Shadow. The Shadow is the Total opposite of the conscious self. Jung came to the conclusion that mental illness is caused because of disharmony between the light and dark side. He noticed that people deal with the shadow in 4 ways: 1. Denial 2. Projection 3. Integration 4. Transmutation
